Madison County Medical Group will test an after-hours clinic as well as Saturday hours beginning March 11, said Dr. John Kendrick, primary physician.

Madison County Judge Larry Garrett delivered his State of the County address during the regular meeting of the quorum court on Feb. 20, focusing on the progress of the new detention center currently under construction and explaining why work seems to have taken so long getting off the ground.

Parents in the Huntsville School District who participated in a recent follow-up paper ballot survey indicated their preference for a four-day school calendar for the 2024-25 school year, district officials reported Monday.

Three former Cooks Venture poultry growers, including one from Madison County, testified to a joint committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development on Friday to describe their experiences with the company as it claimed it was going out of business late in 2023 and with the State of Arkansas as it depopulated more than 1 million chickens owned by Cooks Venture. 

During a second round of a school calendar survey, Huntsville School District parents and guardians are being asked to complete a paper survey on their top two preferred school calendar choices. Surveys are available at the administration offices through Friday.
