Jason Yates, organizer of the 16th Annual Cruz’n the Square car show held on Oct. 7, declared the show a success. “We had a great event,” he said. “We had 92 cars judged and 112 cars in total.” Cars that were late entries or part of the Classic Chrome Club, of which Yates is presi- dent, were not judged. “We had lots of spectators and lots of fun. Our club would like to thank all our spon- sors and volunteers. Without them, this event would not be a success.
“Special thank you to Donovan Villines and family for cooking pulled pork and smoked chicken,” Yates said. “We would also like to thank Jay Moffett and his Today’s Bank crew for cooking burg- ers and hot dogs. They have both helped for many years and we really appreciate them.”
Yates said sponsorships and late donations are still coming in, “so we don’t have an official total yet, but it looks like we have done well again this year.”
