Congratulations to both senior high Kingston Yellow Jackets basketball  teams for taking first place in the Green Forest Holiday Tournament. 

Congratulations to Chanlr Mitchell for ranking eighth out of 178 in the Girls Division in  the Archery Tournament at Valley Springs on Saturday. 

Since she could dribble a ball, Kingston High School senior Rilee Pittman has been in the game. She proves herself on the court as a small forward and power forward for the Kingston Lady Yellow Jackets basketball team. When her feet are off of the court, they can be found pounding the ground as part of the Kingston Yellow Jackets track team. When not participating in athletics, Pittman helps out on her family’s cattle farm while raising her own sheep on the farm. In her free time, she enjoys hunting.

Congratulations to Lila Hartness, she hit 1,000 points in her high school basketball career Monday night. 

All four teams played Ozark Mountain School District at Western Grove on Nov. 14. The junior girls kicked the night off with the final score Kingston 24, OMSD 33.

Kingston High School senior Lila Hartness plays basketball with devotion, love and respect for the game. Playing point guard and post for the Kingston Yellowjackets Girls Basketball team, she dribbles and passes like no other on the court. To help gain more skills for her main sport, you can find her running for cross-country and track. In the classroom, she participates in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) and the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). 

The junior and senior boys played Ozark Catholic Academy on Friday. The final score of the junior boys game was Kingston 29, OCA 47. 

Congratulations to the Kingston cross country teams. The girls placed first in the 1A State Cross Country Tournament and the Boys placed second. Congratulations to Aslyn Cooper, who took second place overall, Callie Edgmon who took fifth place overall and Josh Cooper who took second place overall. 

Kingston High School’s cross country girls’ team won the 2023 1A State Cross Country Championship on Friday, giving the Lady Yellow Jackets their third consecutive state title.

St. Paul basketball teams played several games for their second week of the season.

Kingston hosted its first home game of the season on Friday night. The junior girls started the night with the final score, Kingston, 21, Ozark Mountain School District (OMSD), 36. Reese Pittman led the team with nine points followed by Whitlee Stacey with four points, Clara Huber with four points, Kylee Weaver with two points and Keirra Williams with two points.

Both Kingston senior high basketball teams played in the Norfork Classic last week. 

Basketball season for the Kingston Yellowjackets kicked off on Oct. 13 with Blue and Gold games.

Kingston High School will celebrate the start of the 2023 basketball season with its annual Blue and Gold game Friday beginning with the junior girls at 5 p.m. followed by the junior boys at 5:30 p.m.

The Kingston girls’ golf team placed fourth at the Girls State Tournament at West Side Greers Ferry on Sept. 26.

Kingston’s senior boys and girls as well as its junior girls placed first in the 1-3A Division at the Berryville Back 40 cross country meet on Sept. 23.

The Kingston Lady Yellow Jackets golf team will play in the 2023 State Golf Tournament at Mountain Ranch Golf Course in West Side Greer’s Ferry on Tuesday, Sept. 26.

The Huntsville Eagles golf team on Sept. 7 completed a perfect 5-0 season at Oakridge Golf Course, head coach Justin Harris said.
