We might like to think we are immune here in Arkansas to such national tragedies as mass shootings, but Friday proved us wrong. A madman armed with a shotgun and a pistol walked into a Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce and randomly opened fire.
This nightmare was the worst possible scenario anyone could have envisioned. Four innocent people were killed, two police officers wounded and seven other people injured.
