The following felony cases were resolved in Madison County Circuit Court during the month of February.

A local murder suspect has had a new trial date set, according to Fourth Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Matt Durrett.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant for stolen property at a residence off Highway 127 in the Aurora area, resulting in two arrests and the recovery of numerous stolen items.

An Elkins woman was arrested Thursday night at a Madison County residence when the Madison County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant issued by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at the home.

A Witter man was arrested by Madison County Sheriff’s deputies after he brandished a hammer at them, Sheriff Ronnie Boyd said.

A Hindsville man was arrested on Jan. 3 at the site of a controlled burn that appeared to be out of control, Madison County Sheriff Ronnie Boyd said.

A De Queen man accused of killing three family members in 2021 south of Wesley has had his trial postponed until April 22 after it was disclosed that the alleged gun used in the murders was found by a farmer near Conway.

On Tuesday, Oct. 17, Arkansas State Police charged Rick Allen Headley, a 48-year-old inmate at the Varner Maximum Security Unit, with first-degree murder in the 1991 Fulton County death of 19-year-old Sabrina Underwood of Huntsville. 

Two local murder suspects had their trials continued last week, according to paperwork filed in the Madison County Circuit Court.
