     An instrument dated February 23, 2024, was on June 4, 2024, admitted to probate as the Last Will of the above named decedent and the undersigned have been appointed Executor thereunder.  A contest of the probate of the will can be affected only by filing a petition within the time provided by law.

 

All persons having claims against the estate must exhibit them, duly verified, to the undersigned within six months from the date of the first publication of the notice, or they shall be forever barred and precluded from any benefit of such estate.

ORDINANCE NO. 2024-3

 

AN ORDINANCE 

SPECIFICALLY 

PERMITTING CITY 

EMPLOYEES TO DO 

LIMITED BUSINESS WITH THE CITY

 

    

     WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Huntsville has determined that there are certain situations in which it would be beneficial to the City of Huntsville to conduct business with people who are elected, appointed and/or employed with the City, along with their immediate family members, per Ordinance No. 11-2; and  

 

WHEREAS, Arkansas Code Annotated § 14-42-107(b)(i) authorizes the governing body of the city to enact an ordinance specifically permitting such business; and

 

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of Huntsville to do business locally whenever possible and economical. 

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, ARKANSAS:

 

Section 1. That Todd Thomas, Chief of Police, has spent two hundred and sixty (260) hours working on the Basham Building in his individual capacity between May 12, 2023, and December 3, 2023. That during that time, Todd Thomas did demolition, pressure washing, painting, and general construction.  

 

Section 2. That Todd Thomas shall be paid thirty-five ($35) dollars per hour for one hundred and thirty (130) hours, for a total of four thousand five hundred and fifty ($4,550) dollars.

That the remaining one hundred and thirty (130) hours will be donated time provided by Todd Thomas. 

 

PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, ARKANSAS, THIS 13TH DAY OF MAY 2024.
