Around 180 take part in Huntsville’s boys basketball camp

Berryville won the ninth-grade league and tournament titles at last week’s boys basketball camp.

Nearly 180 boys from northwest Arkansas attended the Huntsville Basketball Camp last week, held in the Charles H. Berry Gymnasium.

Individual and team awards were presented in grades seven-nine.

Chism Floyd of Kingston was named Outstanding Camper for eighth-graders.

Teams participating were Alpena, Bentonville Washington, Berryville, Eureka Springs, Harrison, Huntsville, Kingston, Prairie Grove and Springdale Southwest and Central.

Winners were:


League and Tournament Runner-up, Huntsville; League and Conference Champion, Bentonville Washington.


League and Tournament Runner-up, Prairie Grove; League and Conference Champion, Washington.


League runner-up, Huntsville; Tournament runner-up, Southwest; League and Tournament Champion, Berryville.

Free Throw

Owen Miller, seventh; Ty Ruley, eighth; D.J. Colbert, ninth.

Obstacle Course

Ethan Clark, seventh; Chism Floyd, eighth; Mason Davidson, ninth.

Hot Shot

Caden Smith, seventh; Junior Hueso, eighth; Tray Lambert, ninth.


Soloman Clem, seventh; David Kerkis, eighth; Jaydon Cannon, ninth.


Slade Harp, Lane Graves and Sky Hancock, seventh; Jaiden Wilson, Jackson Clark and Anthony Jewell, eighth; Jack Dignan, Evan Weyl and Chet Hudgens, ninth.
