Berryville tops Huntsville to conclude boys camp

Trophy winners pose following the boys junior high camp in Huntsville.

Berryville beat Huntsville in the ninth-grade finals to win both the league and tournament titles at last week’s boys junior high basketball camp in the Charles Berry Gymnasium.

For the week, Berryville beat Huntsville four games to two.

Huntsville won the eighth-grade league title over Rogers Kirksey, but fell in the tournament finals to Bentonville Washington.

Huntsville’s Matthew Sisk won a trophy for best team player, while eighth-grader Gabe Calderon was named most improved in the lower division.

Incoming Huntsville freshman Hayden Dotson was named the top offensive player in the upper division. He also won the 1-on-1 competition.

Huntsville’s Jude Box won the free-throw competition for eighth graders and a trophy for the coaches award, while Teammate Luke Jones won the obstacle course.

Huntsville’s Chandler Coleman won the free-throw event for ninth graders.
