Janyce Joy Wasson, 71, of Huntsville, died November 6, 2018, at home.

She was born June 11, 1947, in White Bear Lake, Minnesota; to Glen Hugger and Elizabeth LeTourneau.

Jan was an accomplished dog breeder and animal lover. She has been raising Australian Shepherds for several years as well as any other animal that found its way to her loving home.

She had a special gift for looking after all of Gods creatures, humans included. She had a never ending fascination with nature, that was contagious.

Jan was predeceased by her parents; one sister, Theresa Nowlin; and one grandson, Travis Ritchie.

She is survived by two sons, Jeremy Wasson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Jeff Ritchie of Kalispell, Montana; one daughter, Jamie Ragar of White Hall; one sister, Mary White of Conway; two grandsons, William Wasson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Reid Ragar of White Hall; and two granddaughters, Hannah Ritchie of Kalispell, Montana; and Kristen Johnson of Conway.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM; Saturday, November 10, 2018 in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
