The Northwest Arkansas Naturals will host a “Huntsville Night” on Thursday, Aug. 2. Money raised through the selling of game tickets will go toward the purchase of a K-9 officer for the city.

The Huntsville Police Department’s previous K-9 went to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office when its handler, Logan Roddy, took a job there.

The Naturals will host the Springfield, Mo., Cardinals in a 7:05 p.m. game.

The Huntsville Police Department posted on its Facebook page that 199 tickets or less are sold, $3 per ticket will benefit the department’s K-9 fund. If 200 tickets or more are sold, $4 per ticket will go to the fund.

Tickets can be purchased at the Huntsville Police Department from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. The deadline to buy tickets is July 23.
