The Elkins Senior Activity and Wellness Center, located at 149 W. 1st St. in Elkins, has announced its lunch menu and schedule of events for July 12-20.

Lunch is served every weekday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. To be served, the center asks for a $3 donation from those who are over 60, and a $5 donation from those under 60.


Menu for the upcoming week


July 12 - Chicago beef sandwich, baked potato wedges, broccoli salad and berry crisp.

July 13 - Crumb baked catfish, brown beans, coleslaw, hush puppies and banana pudding.

July 16 - Taco salad, black beans and chocolate cake with powdered sugar.

July 17 - Creamed turkey, parslied noodles, sautéed zucchini, biscuit and chilled peaches.

July 18 - Parmesan crusted tilapia tenderloin, dill roasted potatoes, mixed Italian veggies, wheat roll and chocolate pudding.

July 19 - Spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, bread stick and mandarin oranges.

July 20 - Chicken salad sandwich, macaroni, broccoli salad and ambrosia.

July 12, Music by Bobby Smith at 10 a.m.; Tai Chi  at 1:30 p.m.

July 13 - Chair exercises at 9:45 a.m.; chair volleyball at 1 p.m.; American Medical Rentals program and dessert social.

July 16 - Chair exercises at 9:45 a.m.

July 17 - Peppi at 9:30 a.m.; Music by Jerry at 10:30 a.m.

July 18 - Bridge at 10 a.m.; blood pressure and blood screen checks at 11 a.m.; Bingo at noon; Town Day (van to shops); Cedar Creek program and dessert.

July 19 - Bible study and breakfast with Bro. Rex at 8:30 a.m.; farmers market and commodities.

July 20 - Chair exercises at 9:45 a.m.; beanbag baseball vs. West Fork (at home).
